The Holy Bible - The Inspired Word of God Or Man's History By Pamela Morton Palmer Platinum Quality Author

Have you heard that the Holy Bible is a collection of stories describing the lives of good and bad people written by infallible men? Have you heard that the Holy Bible is only an ordinary book that tells about the existence of mankind in historical and chronological order? Have you heard that the Bible is only a book about old times; but no longer apply to modern times? Which one of these statements are true? Inquiring minds want to know the truth. The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God (John 1:1). This basically means that godly men were influenced by the Holy Spirit to write the Word of God. The word "inspired" means God-breathed. The Bible is for the teaching, rebuking, correcting and training mankind in righteousness according to God's standards (2 Timothy 3:16). This is our assurance that the Bible is truly the Word of God and it is unique in comparison to any other book that has been written throughout history.

The Bible is basic instructions to mankind before leaving the Earth. The Bible is the historical and chronological written account of the human relationship with our heavenly Father. God's inspired Word enables us to know our origin, His purpose for our very being, and what our future entails. The Word of God gives us an accurate account of the creation and fall of mankind, the mercy and grace of a loving God, and the need for man to have a redemptive Savior. The Holy Bible is written confirmation of the importance of living in obedience to the will of God (John 2:4-5). We must live according to the Word of God and be lead by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Bible shows us that we were created to love and honor God. Our purpose is to edify the Body, evangelize to the world, and glorify God. The Bible erases any doubt pertaining to our past, present, and future (1 Peter 3:18).

The Bible tells us that everyone will have eternal life. The unbeliever will be eternally separated from God; but, the believer will reign with Jesus Christ forever (Romans 6:23). Remember, the Bible lets us know that man needs a Savior to approach a Holy God. This is the only way we will be with our heavenly Father. We should be eternally grateful to God for giving mankind a written plan of His expectations for us and providing the gift of salvation as assurance in our final destiny (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). We need to accept the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and apply its instructions to our lives daily.
